How to get to Vigo

Vigo is accessible throughout a complete network of infrastructures linking the city to the main centres of population in Galicia and the Iberian Peninsula, and some neighbouring EU countries. Its Atlantic port, airport, motorways, dual carriageways and railway provide a range of transportation to suit all tastes and possibilities.

By road

Vigo has three main access roads. The Northwest dual carriageway links the city to Madrid, 667 kilometres away. The Rías Baixas dual carriageway runs from Vigo to the North of Portugal, passing through Tui, Braga, Porto, thereafter linking with Lisbon and Portugal’s network of motorways. Finally, the Atlantic Motorway links the city with the north of Galicia, passing through Pontevedra, Santiago and La Coruña.

By bus

The bus station is located in Avenida de Madrid. The main connections link with Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao-San Sebastian-Irún, Asturias-Cantabria, Porto-Lisbon and Vitoria-Pamplona. There are also international routes to Belgium, Germany, England and France.

The tickets can be bought in the Ria’s Maritime Station, opposite the Bahía Hotel, very close to the conference AC Hotel.
