Scope

In a context of a global climate change, it is an undeniable fact that the incidence of extreme events such as floods and droughts will increase in the coming decades, which will be a major concern for developed and developing countries. Warning and mitigation protocols must be created to face these new challenges.

The aim of the symposium is to bring together worldwide scientists in order to know the latest advances in the analysis, prevention and mitigation of floods and droughts. Likewise, the symposium aims to bring together different agents responsible for the management of water at local, regional and national levels, such as the Hydrographic Confederations, as well as productive sectors strongly dependent on water (farmers, power companies, water suppliers, ...) in order to achieve a valuable exchange of information between scientists, stake holders and decision makers.
