Lecture Series Earth Sciences

Earth Sciences became a common topic of discussion for the society. Topics like climate change, the greenhouse effect, deforestation, droughts or floods are common discussion topics nowadays. However, a lot of these topics are treated rather lightly and with a lack of rigor by society in general and the mass media in particular.

The objective of this series of lectures is to introduce an not necessarily expert audience to the last scientific advances around Earth Sciences in an enjoyable manner, albeit with scientific rigor. Thus, each year we invite young researchers, both national and international, to bring a fresh take on the current challenges of the scientific community.
